Year Eleven Exam Results, Summer 2022

Once again, More House students defy assumptions to transform their futures.

Despite all being diagnosed with learning difficulties, once again, our Year Eleven pupils beat the national results for all students in their GCSE and BTEC qualifications this summer.

Celebrating their achievements, Headmaster, Mr Hetherington, commented:

Many of our students arrive believing they are not clever; they lack confidence in themselves and are convinced they are doomed to failure.  These results show just how hard our pupils have worked, proving their natural intelligence and potential in society.

The majority of our Year Elevens will remain at More House in September to pursue A Levels and vocational qualification courses in our Sixth Form, while the remainder will take up places at a variety of local post-sixteen and Sixth Form colleges.

We applaud all their successes which follow hot on the heels of the fantastic results achieved by our Upper Sixth students.

A taster:

65 candidates

441 certificates awarded

92% gained a good pass in GCSE or equivalent Science

75% passed GCSE English at grade 4 or higher

68% passed GCSE Mathematics at grade 4 or higher

94% of BTEC certificates awarded were good passes at Level 2 (GCSE grade 4 or higher)

Our overall 'good pass' (9 to 4, A to C or Distinction* to Level 2 Pass) rate was 80%

Huge congratulations to all!
