Junior School
The Junior School encompasses pupils in Years Four, Five and Six and, although they are very much a part of the whole school, they have a dedicated building - Gard'ner House - which accommodates their core subject lessons and form-registration times. They also have access to specialist teaching rooms for subjects such as Music, ICT, Art & Design and Technology.
Pupils have an exciting array of lessons, which we tailor to their needs, focussing on strengths as well as difficulties. We write our own schemes of work that are designed to motivate, inspire and challenge our pupils, giving them a sense of purpose and opportunities to succeed.
Every pupil in the Junior School takes part in the Junior Band Initiative. This is a fantastic opportunity where each boy has his own instrument for music lessons and it is hoped that this will encourage them them to develop ownership over their musical education and progress, as well as their organisational and team work skills.
