Bentley Systems DEC! Hyperloop Challenge Narrow Defeat.
Hyperloop project huge success for MHS students.
Three days of exhilarating, challenging and enriching work as part of the DEC! Hyperloop Challenge in partnership with Bentley Systems saw MHS students make their final presentation to an esteemed panel of judges.
Up against teams from Cardinal Wiseman, Drummond and King Ecgbert Schools, 15 students in total were given the opportunity to create hyperloop designs for a route from Singapore to Malaysia. George, Finlay and Uday offered up a "passionate and concise' presentation, paying particular attention to environmental impact.
Marc Thomas from Bentley Systems commented "the level of analysis and insight shown by all of the challengers over the last three days is remarkable, none of them knew Singapore as the site when they arrived for their briefing on Sunday."
After all presentations were complete, the judges deliberated, finally awarding Drummond School their overall winner, due to their inclusion of bio-rhythmic lighting, safety, sustainability and inductive charging.
MHS students were highly commended for their work, and were awarded with Best Quality of Design with Alison Watson MBE commenting on how terrific the boys had been throughout the whole process, offering up a very strong presentation.
